Rachel
I was born in Berkshire and brought up with a love for country music alongside my family.
From as early as three I can remember dressing up and putting on little shows for my parents. They encouraged me to sing and I attended dance lessons for ballet and tap. I also learnt to play flute, clarinet and guitar.
As a child I played parts in school plays and sang in the school and church choirs. My influences were Patsy Cline , Dolly Parton, Ann Breen, Jim Reeves and The Carpenters.
After having my three children, who are now growing up, I decided to study for and eventually gain my BTEC National Diploma in performing Arts and Drama.
Nearly five years ago I became the female singer with "The Swamp Rats" a country band playing mainly around the Berkshire area.
In 2007 Henry Smith put me in touch with Mike Abbott and we became Fallen Angels. I sing lead and harmony vocals and play rhythm guitar.
Mike and his partner Mary introduced me to a whole range of artists and material to create the mix of modern and traditional songs we play in to-day's show.
I would like to thank Henry Smith for introducing me to Mike.
Thanks to the guys in the band for all their hard work and support .
I could not live my dream without you.
Until we meet.
Keep It Country
